We’re Moncef DJAFRI and Mariem Ould Ismail from 🇫🇷 Paris, and we’re building Stockline.

TL;DR

Stockline is an AI-native ERP for food wholesalers — automating manual order entry and replacing their clunky software from the 90s.

WHY WE CARE

Mariem’s father is a fish wholesaler. 🐟 Back in high school, she spent her summers helping him — and watched him waste hours every day retyping orders, chasing invoices, and drowning in paperwork. ✏️

That’s where the idea was born.

Mariem and Moncef met at École Polytechnique in France, where we went through years of military training, rigorous math, and team projects.

We were both admitted to MIT and Stanford, but chose to focus on Stockline’s mission: bringing tech to an industry long overlooked by digital transformation.

THE PROBLEM

Most food wholesalers still rely on software from the 90s.

One symptom among many: Orders come in through WhatsApp, SMS, email, or phone calls — and get retyped manually into their ERP.

Admin work takes over.
Headcount grows just to keep up with repetitive tasks.
From quoting to delivery, everything is manual, error-prone, and slow.

They barely use data. Prices are set by instinct, with no visibility into stock or margins. And most tools out there just don’t match how they actually work.
