The Governor

Here's the thing about OpenClaw: it talks directly to your tools. Slack, Notion, your APIs. No filter. No oversight. If it hallucinates or gets prompt-injected, it acts on your systems before anyone can stop it.

Diana never talks to Slack, Notion, or your APIs directly.

Every action routes through the Governor first. It checks intent, filters output, and watches for drift in real-time. If something is off, the Governor kills the action before it reaches your systems. Not after. Before.

The architecture:

→ Governor routes to isolated agent sandboxes

→ Agent has zero DB access, zero secrets

→ Every LLM and tool call goes back through the Governor

The Backstory

Before Diana, we built DianaHR, a fractional HR service for SMBs. Running that business, we saw firsthand how much time operations teams waste on repetitive tasks: onboarding new hires into HRIS systems, chasing unsigned documents, answering the same benefits questions, filing state registrations.

When OpenClaw exploded, we saw the opportunity: an AI agent that could actually do this work. But the security gaps were a dealbreaker for business use. So we built a Governor on top, added per-user credential isolation, and created Browser Logins so Diana could work with tools that don't have APIs.

Backed by Y Combinator (W24), General Catalyst, and SNR Ventures. Built by a team from Google, Gusto, MIT, Carnegie Mellon, and Amazon.
