Amber is an AI extension of your post-sales team that has full context for every customer. Amber learns to automate customer success flows that work well, while flagging and handing off highly valuable or uncertain actions to the team.

Amber devises a personalized plan to retain and expand revenue with each customer. Amber plugs into your existing customer stack (Salesforce, Zendesk, Gainsight, and others).

SMB tech companies have traditionally had much lower net revenue retention than enterprise tech companies. 110% is considered elite for SMBs whereas top enterprise benchmarks come in at over 130%.

A large part of this discrepancy comes from managing many small contract-value customers. Customer success managers and account managers need to manage ~$2 million in contract value to justify their salaries; for the SMB segment, this can mean managing hundreds or even thousands of contracts. It’s really hard to keep track of everything with such a ratio, let alone build personal relationships, prevent churn, and expand revenue.

🤝 The Team:

Oliver’s family runs small restaurants and he used to work at UberEats and Snackpass. At both companies, he saw how hard it was to build relationships with restaurants when account managers each have to manage a sea of customers. And he also saw how this wasn’t ideal for small businesses who don’t get the quality care they need. Helen saw a similar problem at Lyft for Business, where SMBs like auto-repair shops were hard customers to take care of at scale. Helen and Oliver are both from New Zealand and have known each other since high school.
