  • Prana
    Prana
    Y Combinator LogoW2026
Active • 4 employees • San Francisco, CA, USA
Prana replaces the reactive, 15-minute annual physical with continuous, proactive care. We connect to your medical records and wearables to watch for "clinical drift," catching subtle declines in health that human doctors miss between visits. Most AI health apps are just chatbots. Prana is a full-stack medical provider. Our AI acts as a always-on physician that watches your data, explains your labs, and manages your prescriptions. Safety & Scale: We automate 90% of the "grunt work" (history taking, logistics, triage) so our human doctors can focus purely on high-leverage decisions. This allows us to offer <60 minute access to a physician, 24/7, for a fraction of the cost of traditional care. The Team: - Meer Patel (CEO): JHU BME. Deferred Brown Medical School to build Prana because code scales better than appointments. - Vishvam Rawal (CTO): Ex-Quant. Building high-frequency data infrastructure for health signals. - Sanjit Menon (CMO): Graduating MD Candidate. Deep clinical expertise to ensure our models practice good medicine. Traction: Live in beta with early users.

Cenote builds AI sales reps for online health clinics and deploys them for abandoned-cart and win-back campaigns. Today, digital and telehealth clinics rely on generic text blasts or human follow-up for speed-to-lead and customer reactivation. Since the lead has often gone cold and the outreach isn’t personalized, conversion is frequently below 1%. Cenote’s AI agents reach out immediately, communicate on the patient’s preferred schedule, and operate across channels—dramatically increasing conversion rates and unlocking revenue that otherwise goes unrealized.

Mecha Health builds foundation models to automate x-ray analysis for radiologists. We take medical images and process them using proprietary models to produce accurate draft medical reports. Our first model was built in less than two months, and beat Microsoft, Google, and OpenAI on clinical accuracy metrics. On top of that, it’s two orders of magnitude smaller and trained with a quarter of the data. We are partnering with the largest privately owned radiology practice in the US and a multinational tele-radiology company to provide them with their own foundation model, enabling their radiologists to go from reading 1 scan per hour to 1 scan every 5 minutes. By charging on a per scan basis, x-ray report generation represents a 40B+ market opportunity.

Phones are the backbone of dental operations — 80% of appointments are still booked over the phone — yet practices miss 20–30% of inbound calls. That’s millions in lost revenue every month. Patient engagement is the biggest bottleneck to growth in dentistry, and we’ve built the most comprehensive AI-powered patient engagement suite in the industry. Arini manages calls, texts, and bookings. We’re going after a $220B, overlooked industry that still runs on legacy systems and outdated workflows. Over 80% of maternal mortalities were preventable with earlier intervention. Currently, doctors miss >50% of moms who have life-threatening complications and wait until labor to start doing manual risk assessments, at which point it's too late. Elythea's proprietary ML models catch life-threatening obstetric complications (like postpartum hemorrhage, preeclampsia/eclampsia, emergency c-section, preterm labor, and more) as soon as the first visit. We automatically analyze relevant demographic and clinical risk factors, flag high-risk patients, and provide evidence-based interventions, giving doctors months in advance to intervene and prevent complications from ever happening. Our global clinical studies have shown that we can catch 3x more complications than clinical judgment 10x sooner.

  • Auricle
    Auricle
    Y Combinator LogoW2021
Active • 2 employees • Mountain View, CA, USA
Auricle is a medical device company building a breakthrough neurostimulation implant to restore hearing in millions of patients who no longer benefit from hearing aids, get less than 60% on a word recognition test, but aren't prepared to make the jump to a cochlear implant. Our approach preserves remaining natural hearing through a reversible and less invasive surgery, addressing the key concerns that hold most patients back from getting a cochlear implant (currently the only treatment option for these patients). The company spun out of Stanford Biodesign having completed two acute human clinical studies demonstrating the approach will work. The team is now focused on developing their full implant system for their first clinical trial. Auricle addresses a currently unserved profile of hearing loss that affects a growing population of 3.5 million patients in the US and represents an immediately accessible $1.2B market opportunity with existing reimbursement.

    Y Combinator LogoS2022
Active • San Francisco, CA, USA
We’re on a mission to leverage AI and voice technology to solve inefficiencies and revenue leakage in our healthcare system. With the rise of EHRs, the manual documentation burden on doctors has never been higher, leading to burnout and fatigue and high attrition rates. Assigning the correct diagnosis and billing codes is crucial for proper reimbursement and patient care, but medical coding is becoming more and more complex each year with growing numbers of codes (over 145,000 now), and doctors are unsupported by current technology to keep up with its ever increasing requirements. $125 billion is left on the table each year by healthcare organizations due to improper documentation and coding. Knowtex creates visit notes with up-to-date and accurate reimbursement codes from doctor-patient conversations, allowing the doctor to focus on patient care and preventing revenue leakage for hospital systems through standardized, transparent, and accurate documentation.

Digital health holds a lot of potential but is ignoring a growing problem: diagnostic testing. Without this data, providers and organizations will be limited in the services they can provide patients at home. Scout has developed a platform - Hub, test kits, and app - that delivers health testing at home with 10x lower development cost and 3x lower per-test price. Our patented tech also meets performance requirements for medical diagnoses and integrates with the current healthcare tech stack. Scout’s technology is poised to disrupt the outdated $33Bn diagnostic market by democratizing testing while dramatically improving the patient experience. Scout has received $16M in non-dilutive funding from the NIH and other organizations to fully de-risk our platform, and our pipeline includes a diverse test menu for primary care (e.g. respiratory and sexual health), wellness (e.g. gut health), and chronic conditions (e.g. certain cancers). We have already received FDA authorization for our platform in clinical settings and are planning to launch our flagship Scout Hub in 2024.

Osmind is the premier platform for clinicians and researchers advancing new life-saving mental health treatments. Today, mental health disorders are one of the leading causes of death worldwide, especially among young adults, and are tied to shortening lifespans. While there have been developments in new psychiatric medications since the first FDA approval in 1954, today there is a growing movement among clinicians, patients, and researchers who are recognizing the need to accelerate new science. The Osmind treatment platform is the first and only solution that solves specific challenges faced by neuropsychiatric clinics, spanning general psychiatry and interventional psychiatry (transcranial magnetic stimulation, ketamine, SPRAVATO®, psychedelic medicine, electroconvulsive therapy). The core electronic health record (EHR) technology is precisely developed for interventional treatment workflows and designed to support a strong therapeutic alliance, including journaling tools and assistance with health plan reimbursement, which is a significant access hurdle for millions of patients. Research from our platform is already helping to set new standards for mental health interventions. For example, in the largest published real-world analysis of ketamine infusion therapy for depression, we teamed up with Stanford University School of Medicine to share findings in the Journal of Affective Disorders (March 2022). We have multiple ongoing research studies leveraging our proprietary real-world data, including an even larger ketamine analysis leveraging machine learning to predict treatment outcomes. Osmind is a San Francisco–based public benefit corporation led by scientists, technologists, and psychiatrists. We are backed by top investors including DFJ Growth, General Catalyst, Future Ventures, Tiger Global, and Y Combinator.

Juno is a fully offline, local-first autonomous AI agent engineered to control and operate medical imaging and diagnostic devices—such as Siemens Healthineers' MRI and CT scanners, hematology analyzers, and PCR machines—with human-like proficiency, powered exclusively by an Embedded System on Module (SoM) AI accelerator. Designed as a "virtual technician," Juno observes device interfaces, reasons over contextual data, and executes actions in a closed-loop system, automating calibration, workflow execution, and optimization without any cloud dependency, internet access, or external APIs. This architecture draws inspiration from agents like ManusAI and Microsoft Copilot's Computer Use Agent (CUA), adapting their observation-reasoning-execution paradigms to treat medical device UIs as controllable "virtual desktops," but confines all processing to edge hardware for compliance with stringent medical safety standards and operational reliability in disconnected environments.
